Note that Blanche is fully dressed on the beach. It may have been cold or she just did not bring her bathing suit. Likely this photo was taken in August, so it should have been warm that day.

A collection of still photos of New Yorkers (my grandparents and their family and friends) before the stock market crash of 1929; this collection of photos shows friends and families as they lived their lives. My family was primarily Jewish at the time; this provides a glimpse into that aspect of New York life.
